I know, I know, I'm supposed to be obsessed about porn; but it's nearly 5 a.m., and I'm reading some online news, and Googling and shit, and see that the ACLU looks like it's getting a bit fed up with the Kansas Attorney General - ACLU Fires Back at Kansas Attorney General in Latest Round over 17-Year Prison Sentence of Bisexual Teenager. If you remember about 2 weeks back I was not happy with this AP story - Kline: Consent laws at risk - because I felt it focused on the war of words between the ACLU and Kline, rather than an analysis of the legal arguments each were putting forth. Now, I'm not saying that an AP writer had the time or interest in seeing my lil' post about that - "He doesn't want to get married," ..... he wants to get out of jail! (I mean, come on, a 42 year old porn-obsessed man's ramblings has a rather limited audience) - but I just stumbled upon the same writer's follow-up to his Sept 16th piece - Analysis: Kline preparing for gay rights battle - a Sept 22nd piece, which begins with these two lines:

"Matthew Limon isn't talking about getting married, nor has the American Civil Liberties Union, which represents him in court, filed a legal challenge to the state's prohibition on same-sex marriages. Limon wants to get out of prison."

It still saddens and angers me that the best case scenario at this point for Limon is freedom by Christmas, 3-1/2 years of prison for a teenage blowjob. And I am very afraid that might not happen. Even if he wins - will Kansas appeal, and does he stay in jail waiting for the next court battle?
