I did expect useless argumentativeness from democrats, and ass-kissing and softballing from republicans in today's Senate Confirmation hearings on Supreme Court nominee Judge Roberts. I am slightly surprised that the far right doesn't get that this guy will likely be a Sandra Day O'Connor. And I was on the floor laughing listening to Alabama Senator Sessions go on and on about how wonderful Roberts is, never actually asking a question, and become the Webster's Dictionary definition on ass-kissing. I wouldn't have blinked an eye if the man said No need for a condom, sir, I'd be honored to have your baby."
