lame? not so much
The Motorcyclist and the Harvard Man

"need some help, man?"

apparently, some of you ain't so lame; in fact, some think using threats (or promises) of yellow liquid splashing all over my - you get the idea. Well, in any case, as I mentioned over 17 months ago with the edited version: .....Just remember, it's one of those dark night scenes, so turn off the lights, and try to watch in "full screen" (with sound turned UP) to really get the full effect of this fantasy sequence between Keith Anthoni and Ken Brown.

directed by: Joe Gage (1977)

Starring: (this scene: Keith Anthoni & Ken Brown; plus a couple of "extras") - Richard Locke and Fred Halsted; plus Clay Russell, Guillermo Ricardo, Keith Anthoni, Mike Morris , Jared Benson , Lou Davis, Steve King, Aaron Taylor, Robert Snowden, Ken Brown, Rob Carter, Jeanne Marie Marchaud, Veronica Compton, and in non-sexual roles Georgina Spelvin, and Stan Braddock; plus "The Wrecking Corps" - Hal Dorn, Joe Gage, Ty Harper, Delmer Jackson, Yank Jankowski, Christian Laage, Buck Lingren, Ed Murray, Bill Oberfeldt, and Al Yeager

Click one of the pics to view the scene (you know that if you view the clip in the browser, you can "right click" and view it FULL SCREEN, right?), or here if you want to download and save for later.

ask any buddy

might as well take a piss while I'm here

so, sitting doing nothing but looking at old shit on the computer (i searched my hard drive for files with the word "paso" in them and came up with over a hundred!) which somehow got me back to an old post from a year and a half ago - "The Motorcyclist and the Harvard Man”, where I show a clip from Joe Gage's El Paso Wrecking Corp - but if you read the text (do any of you ever....?) I mention I am showing the edited version of the scene, the "common" 6 minute scene that's in the DVD, and perhaps 99% of all old VHS copies out there, including the GAGETAPE version that I love (which btw, does have the full version of the Fred Halsted, the Kid, and His Dad scene which gets so much more attention for not being in the DVD). And here, on my hard drive, is the longer, fuller, seemingly uncut version that was only available on the TMX video version on the movie. And yet, mentioning that back in late 2007, I never heard from anyone wanting to see it, the full 8-1/2 minute scene, 2-1/2 minutes more than what's on your DVD version.

shrug. you people are lame.

beautifulday
deciding whether to get up and get outside and enjoy the beautiful day, or stay here, the cool breeze and warm sun coming through my east-facing windows, crawling back into bed as the aroma of the furry man who left his scent on me moves off my own fur and into my face....

here's to you, Mr. Robinson
I love Eugene Robinson. I've gotten so used to seeing him on various newspolitics shows (and I love listening to him - he's wise, caring, supersmart, and charming), that I forget he's primarily a columnist for the Washington Post. His column today, MIA On Gay Marriage, is fantastic. Even though, strategically, as President, I wouldn't jump into the "gay marriage" (I hate the term gay marriage, I prefer marriage equality) fray before Federal Hate Crimes legislation, enactment of ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act) and the repeal of DADT ("Don't Ask, Don't Tell”), what he's really talking about here is the question of leadership on the part of our President, and he's absolutely right. The chorus of "Where's our fierce advocate?" is getting noticeably louder.

OLD RELIABLE

"David Hurles photographed California's most sought after hustlers for nearly 40 years. The Old Reliable Fund was created by a group of David's friends and fans to facilitate his recovery from a massive stroke."

Wow, I only found this out about David Hurles last weekend; click the pic/link above to go to his page and donate - or buy something! Meanwhile, I just happened to have a few audio CD's, and I pulled one track from C-30300, Mike Glacier (AKA Barry Hoffman), Dan & Friend - Want To Get Pissed On? - quality is a bit erratic, but heck, these were made on cassettes about 25 years ago!

daily grumble
(ha!) so i'm surfing around the various "dating" sites, see a nice pic, click to read the details (you know, how far away, how many partners he has) just to torture myself (what does a guy have to do to get a simple date around here??? - don't answer that!) and in his brief description I read: "love sex and am good at it (I have referees)" - holy fuck! I'd settle for one partner, and this guy has referees when he does it..... sigh

days off

here i thought with a 4-day weekend, i'd be out drinking Wednesday and Thursday nights. instead I find my self getting up early both days, listening to the birds wake up (yeah, i was up at 5am yesterday!), slurping coffee and kinda wishing I was slurping something a bit more substantial (but what can ya do?) Meanwhile, soon i need to get off my lazy sorry ass and begin cleaning up the apartment, and preparing for finding a roommate. I think the roommie moves out this weekend, so I'll have some time to shift and move shit around as I try to clear stuff out, and get this place back in order.

I also have this fantasy that i could get a couple of hot tourists who need a place to stay sometime in the month of May to fork over a few bucks for the privilege of being in this tiny tiny apartment for a few days, but not holding my breath there....

btw, anyone having trouble viewing the clip below? Seems at least one person is, and I suspect it's the file format (AVI) rather than the file itself that is troublesome for him. But if it looks more widespread, I can convert it to my usual WMV file. any feedback is appreciated.
update: thanks for the feedback, boys; the clip below has been fixed - enjoy!
