"why don't you just give me some of that?"
HOT HOUSE
<
"Excuse me; where the hell's the toilet?"

director: Jack Deveau (1977)

Starring: Roger and Jack Wrangler; with Jayson MacBride, Garry Hunt, David Hunter, Eric Streiff, Joe Dellasandro (uncredited), and in a non-sexual role Tray Christopher (Chris Rage's voice as M.J. Stunning, a radio D.J.).

I love this clip, which I first posted as ROGER & PEE back in 2005 - check out the original post, gives a bit more info.

Click one of the pics to view the movie trailer (you know that if you view the clip in the browser, you can "right click" and view it FULL SCREEN, right?), or here if you want to download and save for later.

misc stuff

it's not that i don't like posting, it's just that i get more distracted than usual lately. good pic, fun song, and i get distracted from the background info, or funny story, or that video clip of gloryholes i promised some guy's boyfriend on some m4m4m4m4fun site. and to be frank, too many things just send me back into sadness and, well, let's just say something less fun than sadness. just the other night, i dig into the freezer, and scoop out a simple cupful of peach sorbet. how could that go wrong? but then, in my head, i hear him saying the simple word "peach" - referring to me, and it's his voice, in my head, saying one simple word in his soft gentle voice, and i get sad, then angry, then something else, wondering why I can't hear it for real, and all the other expressions and sayings that were "his" or "ours" that I no longer get to experience "live" but just in my sad, sad imagination.

and then there's thursday - gosh, last thursday was one of the worse in a long long time. probably because it was unexpected, and nothing actually happened, it just that i was a mess, and i don't know how i managed to not run home and hide in this room. but several times during the day i fled the workplace and tried to find comfort in the hot, crowded, smelly midtown manhattan streets. and then the two times i dodged into the men's room to have a good cry, and of course bursting into tears in front of a co-worker, and then the boss, trying to review my long long list (incomplete, because i got so overwhelmed) of "to do" items, got to see me, once again, tear up, and fidget, until he knew to let me be and quietly deal with it alone.... sometime after 7pm i made it home, while many of my co-workers had left for the holiday weekend hours earlier, and collapsed in this room, hoping i could make it through the weekend......

so, what have we learned? first, that my hopes of ending therapy anytime soon are dashed, not even going to a once-every-two-weeks schedule will do at this point. two, um, gee, what else have i learned? nothing. but - well, over the course of the weekend, i got a very nice, unexpected surprise - and it's due to actually having kept up on posting on this page. A reader happened to be visiting new york, saw the pic of the birdie on the Avenue A/6th street sign, and recognized it as being right in the neighborhood. to make a long story short, he emailed, i got over my fear of fearful things, and we met up, had a nice dinner, many laughs, and i got to not only meet someone new and nice, but get a glimpse of me not being a mess, and got some hope that that particular me is still in there somewhere, so it was a calming experience, to say the least. oops, time for shower, clothing, biking into midtown, and crossing my fingers that anxiety and despair don't visit today. this song, and that pic, obviously have nothing to do with anything, except to have something nice to look at, and something silly to listen to.

HHHHHHHHHHOT!

director: Jack Deveau (1977)

Starring: Roger and Jack Wrangler; with Jayson MacBride, Garry Hunt, David Hunter, Eric Streiff, Joe Dellasandro (uncredited), and in a non-sexual role Tray Christopher (Chris Rage's voice as M.J. Stunning, a radio D.J.).

Decided I would go with the actual movie trailer for this one, as I think editor BOB ALVAREZ is just fantastic, and his work shows up even better in the trailers he did for HAND IN HAND FILMS. This is from the oft-mentioned video I'm selling - HOT HOUSE - on eBay (ends SATURDAY AFTERNOON, the 27th!)

ROGER, Jack Wrangler, Joe Dellasandro, eBay, and ME
I know you want the long version of the story, so here goes: last Sunday night, May 14th, I was working on my auctions, as I do every Sunday night, and put the HAND IN HAND Jack Wrangler & ROGER classic video, HOT HOUSE, up for auction at my usual ridiculously low starting price of 99 cents. By mid week, no bids, I thought I might want to use my blog, as I often, often, OFTEN DO, to promote the auction by posting a clip. So, on May 17th, I worked on a clip, and even went so far as to make a better quality, yet briefer clip available, as an experiment to see what folks thought of it (thanks go out to the one and only reader who responded - gosh, no one READS ME anymore! waaaah!). By the next day, I see one bid, but then notice very very few hits - meaning no one is actually looking at the auction on eBay. I do a couple of quick searches in the adult section for key words "jack Wrangler" "joe dellasandro" (and various misspellings of dellansaandros name, like one would do with Paul paressi, Paul Barresi, Paul Baresi, etc....) nothing shows up, and I realize my listing isn't showing up at all in the adult videos, the gallery section, or anywhere except on my MY EBAY page!!! The video is worth a helluva lot more than 99 cents, and with only 8 folks having seen the listing, I ask eBay for help in fixing this.

Egad! I go to "LIVE HELP" wait the estimated 8 minutes, explain the problem, and at first, she blames me for "revising" it too soon after listing. Her suggestion - end the auction, and relist it. I don't really want to do that, as it was scheduled to end in eBay Prime Time, late Sunday night (just like TV, folks, we all know we surf the computer and TV simultaneously these days, right?) So, reluctantly, I do that, ending the auction, and realizing relisting it will have it end at a weird time, like a we3dnesday afternoon. But I do it anyway, check back in about 2 hours later, and NOTHING - it's still not being indexed. So I try LIVE HELP again, and they are even less help, but suggest I email technical support (note to newbie ebayers - LIVE HELP is for folks who can't figure out how to use the SEARCH HELP functions, cuz that's apparently all the LIVE HELP people do - they are not technical people) I know technical support takes 24-72 hours, although you get that "thanks for emailing, we appreciate your business automated response within seconds) BUT I figure I still have about 5-1/2 days left, and can perhaps fix it by then. Another day passes, finally an answer, telling me I need to log in to ADULT, then search. DUH! Clearly, as usual, the tech support people do the simplest, least effort to answer a question, always ASSuming you are an idiot and giving you the least help and information possible. I am angry and send off another email, this time detailing everything, and tell them in big CAPS - IT WONT INDEX, I KNOW HOW TO SEARCH, but 3 items won't show up!! PLEASE PLEASE HELP. So, last night, after a long day at work, I come home, and see a longer email response, one that is clearly NOT one of those boilerplate responses, but someone actually read my email. BUT, as eBay likes to do, it doesn't fix the problem, they merely vaguely suggest how I can do it. AAAAARRRGGGHHHHH!

"Hello,

Thank you for writing to eBay's Billing Support. I'll be happy to assist you with your listings.

I have looked at your item description and can see that it contains one or more questionable words. Our system will not index items for search that have inappropriate language in the listing. The words in your auction prevent this from indexing. Fortunately, this problem usually only comes up with music listings.

To fix this, please remove the word(s) from your item listing or the item won't be searchable. Also, using asterisks or other symbols and characters to disguise the word will not work."

Whatthefuck? I am very careful with my listings, knowing not to use "inappropriate language" and besides, they have their program used in the adult auctions that tells you when you said something too naughty or questionable - like words like TEEN, EXTREME, even any word with the letters PAL (PAYPAL, not allowed for adult listings, and apparently anything that includes the syllable PAL, like apPALachia (I kid you not), porn star RaPALlo, etc. But I figure, this vague hint that it most often comes up in music listings, at least I can re-check my listings and see what sort of language might be inapprorpiate. So I click on my HOT HOUSE listing, start reading, and think, OK, maybe I can't say "URINATE" and change it to "do it" STOOPID, I know, words you can use in a regular listing you can't use in the section where folks have to swear they are not only of age, but also that they promise not to be offended, and even if they are offended, they won't hold eBay accountable.... GRRRRR! So, I keep on reading, and see:

"Meanwhile, the painter, Roger, and Garry Hunt are watching a black-and-white porno movie on Jack's projector, all jacking off in the living room. As we watch bits of the movie, we see two lean and youthful men suck each other's big dick and 69, until they fuck ass."

Jacking off??? SUCK?? BIG DICK!!!??? and FUCK ASS???? jeeeeeee-SUS! SO I quickly clean it all up, laughing at the whole thing at this point, it's all so ridiculous, like, I can't say the magazine has SIXTEEN pages without getting a RED WARNING that underage material, even implying "barely legal" is prohibited, but FUCK ASS somehow gets by???? I check on two other auctions that didn't get indexed. Oh, TITS, bad, bad word - change to PECS; now, what was wrong with that CZECH porno, The BACK ROOM??? Oh, "The two suck and fuck each other with gusto." - let's change GUSTO to, just kidding....They do oral and anal with gusto. Much better.

So, what have we learned? eBay is stoopid. No, we know that already - well, that's really a bit simplistic. The not-too-long lesson is, once again, eBay grew and grew astronomically, and like most internet sites, does fixes in a patchwork style. All the troubles they had with the ADULT LISTINGS were to prevent illegal stuff, unauthorized taping of naked and sexually active people, teens, underage, etc. Not to mention the graphic pics and language that meant they got SHITLOADS of browsers who basically clicked thru the adult auctions at work, whacking off behind their desks, not buying anything while eBay had an inordinate amount of bandwidth taken up by these often non-selling items. So, you can use the words FUCK, and TITS, etc, on the site, both general and "mature audiences" but they have a program that will prevent it from being indexed - although, oddly enough, they accept your listing fees, and don't actually prevent you from putting the auction up for sale. Hmmmpf.

Oh, and you probably want that 12-minute, low-quality clip from HOT HOUSE, dontcha? A handful of Pleases might help......

hey joe

- this clip is from a great video I'm selling - HOT HOUSE - on eBay - trying an experiment - a much shorter clip but (hopefully) better quality video - lemme know whatr ya think.

BijouWorld
Regular readers probably know that my favorite online retailer of vintage porn is Bijou Video. They carry lots of old titles, many unavailable anywhere else, they have great customer service, and - they always have something on sale! Of course, there is a bit of nostalgia for me with them, as they also run one of the country's oldest porno theatres, the place where I had many of my first sexual experiences 20some years ago (ahem!) Anyway, back to their sales - I was just checking the sale page (can't link directly, they want you to age-verify; but once you do, look to the left side for the LINK marked "SALE") and found quite a few worhtwhile films/videos at great prices.
  • CATCHING UP - 1975 Tom DeSimone film with hung Keith Anthoni as he struggles with his new boyfreind wanting an "open" realtionship. Great acting, some humorous dialogue (the break-up scene at dinner is fantastic!) and of course some good fuckin and suckin. 9.95! plus shipping - woo-hoo!
  • FACE TO FACE from director Steve Scott (1981). Heartwarming tale of young man who leaves his boyfriend of his favorite porn star, J W King. On the way we get to see sexy Mickey Squires gets topped by Will Seagers in a 3-way in a gym; our young blond hero Scott Andersen forced to suck off highway patrolman CLINT LOCKNER, and of course the finale, when Scott finally catches up to J W for a passionate shower room scene. 9.95! plus shipping - woo-hoo!
  • HOT HOUSE Jack Wrangler & Roger - what more could you ask for? Well, how about lively and fun Garry Hunt, and some 8mm footage of Joe Dallesandro - all from master director Jack Deveau in this great film from 1977. ONLY one little problem - the famous ROGER peeing in Garry Hunt's mouth scene is censored in this VHS-on-sale version (9.95); but the good news is that if you really want to see that scen, they've jsut come out with a new DVD that INCLUDES the scene (52.95)!
  • MADE TO ORDER from NOVA FILMS. One on the many reasons I love BIJOU VIDEO is that all thier NOVA titles are the complete versions - you might see some offered by companies like MIDNIGHT MEN - Brian's Boys (later called Brian's Men is a prime example - and 15-20 or more minutes are missing! Don't take chances, buy from a reliable retailer like BIJOU. Oh yeah, NOVA FILMS, in case you don't know, are usually 15-20 minute films put into a collection - what I like best about them are the facials - guys shooting big loads in other guy's faces - a NOVA FILMS specialty! - oh yeah, they also have Down On The Farm (cowboys, jockstraps...) on sale for 9.95

and tell 'em BJ sent you (not that you'd get special treatment - they're nice to all their customers)

A for effort
Mmmmmmmmm, Don Bishop. Seems to have only been in one movie, College Station's Frat House One, where he slips out of his black speedo just as a buddy, Glen Denard, walks in on him. Gosh, maybe I should have kept that little 1981 videotape. sigh. He did manage to make it into several magazines, even this one from years later, HOT MALE REVIEW's August 1988 issue.

ROGER & PEE
HOT HOUSE

"Excuse me; where the hell's the toilet?"

director: Jack Deveau (1977)

Starring: Roger and Jack Wrangler; with Jayson MacBride, Garry Hunt, David Hunter, Eric Streiff, Joe Dellasandro (uncredited), and in a non-sexual role Tray Christopher (Chris Rage's voice as M.J. Stunning, a radio D.J.).

HOT HOUSE is the notorious film from director Jack Deveau - notorious because it incorporated a sequence "starring someone you're sure to recognize - his tattoo reads 'Little Joe'!" - courtesy of someone named Norman Fisher. But more importantly - to me anyway - this was ROGER's first film (he did work for TARGET under the name Tom Garrett around the same time, but I honestly don't know which came first - suffice it to say that at the least, this was ROGER's first "talkie"). Briefly, Jack Wrangler (my fave porno actor, of course) picks up this stud (ROGER) at the health club, but when he gets home, ROGER needs to pee and runs off to the bathroom. Lucky GARRY HUNT (who, as usual, is fanfuckintastic) just happens to be in the shower, and in the interests of water conservation, suggests to ROGER: "why don't you just give me some of that?" Alas, the scene is cut from most video releases past the mid 1980's, and you'd have to be some sort of GAY PORNO-CRAZED guy to have a copy! Two more interesting bits (you're already watching it and stopped reading awhile ago, right?) is the disco music - which I can't name (PLEASE HELP!) - and the narrator/DJ - it's Christopher Rage billed as M.J. Stunning (you might remember his performance in the 1974 film, DRIVE, as the drag queen Arachne, billed at the time as Mary Jim Sstunning).

ohhhhhhhhh, Mister Grant!

Probably best known for his work with COLT Studios (in such films as Hammerhead, House Boat and Flatbed; and FALCON (in such films as Working Late, Young Conquest and the fantastic The Crotch Watcher) he was in only one film where he spoke! The fanfuckintastic 1978 release from director Lancer Brooks, (AKA Tom DeSimone), HOT TRUCKIN' - you know, where "Gordon Grant stars as a horny truck driver who encounters some wild sex on the road while delivering his load."

Yes, yes, selling TWO magazines with Mister Grant featured prominently -

  • The above pic is taken from IN TOUCH 45 - where Grant graces an 8 page, 9 photograph spread, (including the centerfold), plus the cover, and an additional handsome smiling one on the Editorial page - from photographer D J GARRET.
  • and in a 1977 publication, FALCON FILE - 6 pages, 14 great photos in this premier issue from the "FALCON FILE" magazine series.

ROGER

gosh, I'd never seen this picture of ROGER - AKA Tom Garrett - who you may remember from such films as Target/Bullet's Good Neighbors, Garden Party and Deck Hands; Falcon's Bigger Than Life and The House Painter; and Hand In Hand's Sex Magic, A Night At The Adonis, and Hot House ; and of course, the wonderful 3-D film, Heavy Equipment. Anyway, I got a stack of magazines that I am slowly sorting for auction, and in one called GUISE I saw this from photographer Michael West. I recognize one of the photograph's from a 1970's magazine advertisement for Falcon, but otherwise had not seen this series. This and 2 others show Roger's beautiful smile! Yum!

9/19/05 update: I've listed the magazine on eBay.

I HEART CLIFFY

am trying to get a brief clip from River Patrol up, with one of my all-time fave pornstars, Cliff Parker (and his BF, York Powers). The late 80's/early 90's was a sad time for gay porno, low budgets, poor production values, etc. But a few bright spots began to show, with guys like Cliff Parker and Aiden Shaw popping up in videos by 1992/93. Then, studios like Hot House Entertainment (1994)and Titan Media (1995) upped the ante with much better production, good directors, etc.

Remember HOT RS (House Of The Rising Sun) from the 70s?

Me neither. But the other day when I posted here about DUNE BUDDIES, our crack team of DISCO FANS got right on it when I asked if anyone could identify the music. The same guy who came thru a few months back (Action '78 Part 2 (Remix) by the Erotic Drum Band) on the dance-floor number in William Higgin's Boys of Venice that was driving me crazy, dj-johnny-nyc, did it again and emailed me with the correct song and group. . I've spent the past several days trying to find an mp3 of it, to no avail. But I did find tidbits of additional info - "HOT RS was the name of a faceless (South African) disco-rock studio band and also the name of their first album released in 1977. That album featured a 14 minutes plus disco-rock reworking of the classic House of The Rising Sun, made famous by the Animals in 1964. Their second album 'Forbidden Fruit' had as it's centrepiece a cover of Iron Butterfly's 1968 classic 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' cleverly combined with Frankie Vaughan's 1957 hit 'Garden Of Eden'."

There's this 30 second intro on a Russian website, which confirmed for me he was right, and you can listen to a not-so-good 2003 remix, from the HOT R.S. II album. But at this point, after downloading too many variations of House of the Rising Sun (Sinead O'Connor still has the best cover of it, IMHO) and listening to too much disco, I kinda dig this one, Frijid Pink's 1970 version of HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN.

OMG!
I got to meet one of my porno heroes this weekend! No, no, not one of the directors, or actors, but the MAN who put the music to two of my all-time favorite pornofilms - Heatstroke and HANDsome - and now he's blogging! MAN PARRISH CHATTER - check it out, it's just like two days old - but YOU MUST poke around for the TEST mix of the "Total Eclipse" Klaus Nomi Remix he's working on for the DVD release of NOMI SONG.

OK, so maybe we'd met before - maybe 5 years ago, a sexparty (why does Blogger spellcheck think I meant to type "skippered"?) - he was deejaying; but I doubt he remembers that, he was working. Anyhoo, I had written him weeks back about getting some help for a NOMI SONG poster. He was real sweet, offering the one hanging in the window at The COCK, but I'd have to wait, as he'd promised to keep it displayed for awhile. Long story short, I re-contacted him, he said he'd be setting up Sunday afternoon, so I took a short break from work, racing up the road (5 minute break, what a jip!), and he was there, as sweet as could be, immediately trying to take the poster out of the window. I met who I think is his BF, and a co-worker (who I'd met before, friend of an ex, long story, later) - and damn! You know how you hang out in dark clubs, with the red lighting, and murkiness, and everyone looks so hot - was great to see that all three men look even better in daylight (you shoulda seen me on the corner of 12th and A - hmmm, reminds me of a NYT article, but I digress....) talking about old porn, his great music, smoking laws in clubs, and wondering, "do i have time to do these guys?" Naw, just kidding. Why in the hell would I want to blow three hot men, when I am desperately needed in the burrito-pushing business? Get your minds out of the gutter. So, I unlocked my bike (parked in the gutter), poster in hand (the BF went down to the basement and found a fresh, unused one - I was peeing in my pants!) and rode back to work.

The coolest part is, however, that it's not for me. Ever since seeing NOMI SONG I've wanted to get this poster for this pal of mine, someone who, due to my own horrible neglect, I haven't had much contact with in maybe a year's time.... That's another story, which I won't tell here (makes me look bad - cuz i was) - and this isn't a "here's a present, now forgive me" gift. It's more of a "I couldn't help thinking about you all during the movie, and since, and just know this would look so cool in your house, and I just want you to know that even during long stretches of silence, I think of you often."

OK, that was too corny, and too personal - but hell, I'm high on caffeine, and the NOMI REMIX is blasting for the 4th time while typing this.

THE ROAD HOME

"Forgive me Father, for I have sinned"

directed by: Steven Scarborough (1996)

Starring: Todd Gibbs, Matt Bradshaw, Beau Saxon, Nino Bacci, Jordan West, Tony Cummings, Cole Youngblood, Dan Brewer, Marcelo Reeves, Jeff Hart, (special guest appearance by) Ryan Idol

A little treat from Hot House Video, one of the companies from the mid 90's that made watching modern porn interesting again. While not the best scene (adorable Todd Gibbs - blond/redhead smooth man who caught me by surprise how his handsome face and beautiful body turns me on, but I digress - keeps his clothes on) it is fun, and best viewed with sound UP!
Hope to have this video up for auction later today.

in other news...
as I stare at the phone and the internet, waiting to see if someone with an affordable room in provincetown returns my calls/emails, my roommate knocks on the door. Bags packed, driver waiting downstairs, he's outta here! Big hugs, and all that, despite him having a late night last night in NYC mini-party a 5am this morning which didn't help my sleeplessness.

WOO-HOO! OCTOBER IS MONTH-LONG SEX PARTY AT BJLAND. Just kidding. But, I did start to clean through what he left, and discovered that the air mattress he left isn't an air mattress, but a real mattress, which I might try out to replace my squishy, back-breaking futon. Plus, a seemingly comfy chair, a pile of American coinage which wouldn't do him much good back home, 3 porno tapes (The Road Home, an excellent HOT HOUSE release from the mid 90's, Big, Black & Beautiful with Bobby Blake who lives up to the title, and a lesser known, but funnily-titled (?) When Bottoms Go Wild with an enticing pic of Paul Carrigan taking full advantage of a sling); also some scarey hair cair products, about 4000 q-tips (what's with that?) and oooooh, one full and an additional almost-full bottle of tequilla, something called Jose Cuervo Especial, apparently they were hechoed en Mexico.

So, maybe it will be MONTH-LONG SEX PARTY AT BJLAND. Any takers?

lazy blogger

The last few posts haven't been as interesting or creative as I prefer (tired link to scarey 'escort'; recycled jockstrap pics that look almost identical to the ones posted on the 'auction' page; pic of some guy in my crotch - oh wait, that was good) - and this one will most likely be no more creative or interesting, but it will be longer, and longer is always better. Thursday met up with Mr CGM13 and he watched me book-shop, hemming and hawing over the purchase of some 27 AFTER DARK magazines (see pic below, and if you don't recognize the man on the cover, you are no longer allowed to read this page). After getting a good deal on them, and some gay mystery novels (no link; I try to limit linking to auctions to once every 10 days, so you'll have to find the auctions on your own), I carried the heavy load (who doesn't like a like heavy load?) as we hung out by the newish West Side Piers Park. That night, after an ungodly expensive cab ride, we discovered that we misread the Eagle's DRESS CODE - apparently leather is mandatory, and the other tidbits just tell you what can, and cannot be worn with your leather gear. So we didn't get to the 2nd and 3rd floor until it was late, and all the hot, swarthy, waiting leathermen had left. Their loss, right?

My guest was smart, and decided to head back to his hotel rather than spend more money on cabs; but alas, only a few feet from the Eagle, my cab hits his cab! Only a light tap, but an argument ensued, not between the cabbies, but between a doorman at one of the new scarey hetero bars on the same block as the Eagle (very, VERY scarey bars!) and the 'hit' cabbie. My cabbie calmed him down, but the poor guy was so flusterred by it, he took Mr Chas many many blocks out of his way.

My cabbie took me directly to HOUSE OF REGRETS, and man, that place hasn't looked scarier! Pacing around for several decades, I notice a nice looking, somewhat in the shadows, possibly furry boy. He moves in a 'c'mon in' manner, I 'c'mon in', zippers are undone, his face is beautiful, his mouth is warm and slurpacious, his chest hairy, and he even allows for some brief making out. But this doesn't last long; apparently, my reciprocation wasn't desired, he got bored fast, zipped up, looked uncomforatble until I got dressed, and another 30 decades of pacing later, I had bad sex with an uninteresting man.

Moments later, the phone rings. I am in bed, and my zoo date is calling. I put him off for an hour or two, but make it to the designated subway stop for our connection uptown. Getting up and dressed and over to the west side for the train was tough, but it turned out to be a great day. I love the zoo, and I think my guest did, too. And for the first time in my short life, I got to see gorillas fucking. Yup, in the tree, we look up and see these two hairy beasts going at it. Parents were pointing and giggling, and the best part was that it wasn't quite as animalistic as one would expect. They changed postions several times, but both seemed quite affectionate, actually. Hands and arms were intertwined, and the closeness of the bodies seemed more important than actual penetration. I took pics of my favorites (lemurs, giraffes); Charles took pics of str8boys he was hoping to convert. That night we laid low, ordering pizza - oh shit, that last slice is still n the oven!

Saturday was work, then cheap frozen margaritas at this cool Mexican restaurant I know in the East Village. Two 'grandes' later, we head to the dog run to pick out boyfriends. My weak bladder led us home, Mr. Guest looked at profiles on BIGMUSCLES4U.com, my head spun while I tried to relax, then he forced me to go out for beer. Or food. Oh yeah, food at Life Cafe - Mr Guest drooling over more local boys, lots of rain and people acting silly in the rain, then beer. and Bears. The Bear I wanted (curly hair, curly beard, and tons of curly hair poppin out from the back of his t-shirt's neckline - slurp!) seemed to lose interest in the place. Two beers later, we left; my guest in a cab (which apparently got hit - what is it with country boys not getting along with NYC cabs?) me on foot home. That Grace Jones songs pops into my head, thus the download for Sunday morning.

The other night I was inspired to pull out my 8

mm film projector and check out one of the EL PASO WRECKING CORP reels I bought a few months back on eBay. I had watched reel #1 way back when, but was somewhat disappointed because it left out the "homophobic" scene (where the homophobe gets thrown thru a plate glass window). But I figured they must have made these silent 8mm with just the sex, and no point wasting footage on dialogue and storyline (as there is no sound). But a few weeks back, a gentleman wrote me wondering if I had any idea how to get a "complete" El Paso - and many of you know I've wrote extensively about the missing pieces from the DVD and latter VHS versions; but this guy was talking about a watersports scene! I had heard that there was one, but apparently those scenes never made it to the commerical videotapes (I found this out from a guy running a film festival, who got Joe Gage to lend his personal copy of the film, plus appear).

And before you get all excited, NO there is no watersports scene in the 8mm that I have. But the guy asking did send me a great B&W still featuring the two from that scene - The Gardener and The Rug Man - hot bearded redhead Lou Davis and another hairy beauty, Guillermo Ricardo. I really didn't think the scene could work without sound, but I was so friggin' turned on watching that scene in the tiny frame on my bedroom wall! If there was a hairy ass anywhere in sight, believe me, it would've gotten plowed (this from an avowed oral bottom). Do you think the chinka chinka chink sound of the projector added - the sort of "this is naughty" feel?

Anyway, Sunday, while posting auctions, I remembered that I had this stray STR8 8mm, and figured as long as the projector was lying on the floor (occasionally getting kicked in this tiny space) I might as well check the film out. SO FUNNY! Late 70's, THE VIXEN - some chick is trying to make you think she's in a castle by staring blankly at a shiney chandelier; then the 2 gardeners come in, and since there's no sound, there's no jazzy music to let you know the action is about to start. But it's got subtitles! "You are so hot" "Let's sit on the couch" --- really imaginative stuff like that. So I'm continuing to work on my auctions as the projector is rolling, so I can make sure the film works OK. I look over at one point and this tongue is in this really weird place I've never seen, and then EWWWWWW I had to run out of the room! Jeez! When I came back, the young lady had jizm on her cheeck, then the subtitle "The End." Hope someone buys it and takes it out of my house.

All I want is to breathe, Won't you breathe with me

Got the sex part of the evening out of the way before midnight (sexclub - nothing to write home about), giving me the opportunity to focus on music, smoking a bit of dope, more music, and of course junkfood (and more music).

I must've been looking through GoogleNews, and some article in the NYT grabbed my attention, which then pointed me to a Times article (How Fela Landed Me in Jail), but more importantly, that page points to special on Fela - FINDING FELA - Reflections On Africa's Music Legend (you have to scroll down the "Jail" page to find link) which is quite fantastic. And of course it pointed me to the New Museum's site, and it's current exhibit - Black President: The Art and Legacy of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti (the place is so friggin' close to me, I really ought to go this week); and this is what got me going for hours - their Fela Project Music Program page.

"This selection of music represents a timeline from the 1950s to the present, a context for the cultural and political environment in which Fela's Afrobeat was created and developed. It contains the synergistic music of the eras during which Fela composed and the musical realms in which his legacy has been disseminated. Starting with West African highlife music as his base, Fela synthesized the funky soul of James Brown and the compositional complexity of American and Afro-Cuban jazz with Yoruba percussion and call-and-response singing to form a new genre he called Afrobeat. Today his music and aura have been carried into new directions within contemporary Afrobeat, rock, hip-hop, soul, afro-house, and electronic dance music."

I will no doubt be spending weeks trying to assemble the music listed on this page. Some of it I've heard, only a few tunes/albums do I possess (but then I went to HALF.com and nabbed a few bargains late late last night), and just a couple I've had the pleasure of seeing live - (Talking Heads of course, but also Hugh Masekela and Gil Scott-Heron).

And I still have an exta copy of RED HOT + RIOT, which I was hoping to figure out some sort of clever give-away, but haven't been feeling very clever lately (let me put that on the "to do" list - not getting clever, but the give-away). And e-gads! it's nearly 3pm and I haven't left this apartment yet today - time for some errands, and a shower sometime before my 6pm worshift.

Your auction Jack Fritsher's STAND BY YOUR MAN Item # 2910141105 was in violation of our policies. The following was included in your auction:

Image of hand to genital contact,

which is not allowed on eBay. As there are several violations of this policy on your account, we have ended all of your auctions.

Needless to say, I'm a tad upset. Yes, more than anyone, even more than most of the people working at eBay, I should've noticed that Frank Vickers's hands weren't merely in his pants, but were, in fact, touching his naughtybits. But that image is what caused ALL of my auctions to be cancelled this morning, as punishment for this most recent violation (their email goes on to explain that since it's one of several lately, that is why they took this action). As some of you know, I love selling porn; and I like giving as much info as possible when selling items (who buys a dirty magazine without seeing the cover, or knowing which models are inside?) - and balancing giving potential buyers info, with eBay's prudishness about what is acceptable for adults who must, each time they go into the "Mature Audiences" section, promise they really really want to see the stuff, and really really won't be offended by it, and still can't see anything close to actual sexual activity - well, apparently I err too often on the side of giving customers info. I'm exhausted just from thinking about the loss of income, all the hard work of scanning, coding, checking for "too naughty" words or images, and then re-doing it, trying to go into "prude mode" so as to not get fucked over again.....

but, if you feel sorry for me, please please don't tell me to go to NAUGHTYBIDS - I sell stuff there too, and unless it's purely filthy stuff like my underwear or a "modeled" cockring, it invariable sells for so little, it's not worth the effort. I need to get out of the house for a bit.
