When we think of early 70's gay porn, we often think of
Wakefield Poole,
Jack Deveau, and
Fred Halsted. But by 1971
Jaguar Films, headed up by Barry Knight (who produced many of the Salem cigarette ads of the day), began to produce full-length feature films with young men and, yes, interesting plots. Skinny, young, long-haired types aren't
my taste, but it is fun to look back 30 years and see that there were folks bold enough to make these films. Here's one.
The Experiment
"They'd been good buddies all their lives, but for one night they were going to be lovers. They'd get a little drunk, and they'd explore every sexual variation two guys have ever encountered together. And tommorrow they would forget - The Experiment. Or would they?" Director: Gorton Hall (1973)
Starring: Dave Craig, David Blair, Eva Faye, Gorton Hall, Jimmy Hughes, Joey Daniels, Mike Stevens, Peter Thomas, Robert Weaver, and Tony Ross .
